Hidden Talent

 

Minneapolis, MN – June 8, 2014 – Alex and I felt a bit out of place after we’d arrived at Hidden beach. Everyone already seemed to be settled into their own groups. Some people were drinking. Some were doing worse things. For us squares, we were a tad unsure of how exactly we were going to have fun, but then Alex pulled out his guitar, and what started out as gentle strumming evolved into him belting out some of his favorite songs he’d written and me providing a beatbox accompaniment. Before we knew it, a crowd had formed around us and we were having a blast. When I saw the flash of someone’s cellphone creating a cool rim-light around Alex’s head, I took a break to take a shot and commemorate this moment. Photo by Louis Fine.
